Saskatoon: Unique Things To Be A Part Of

One of the most visited and talked about the destination of Canada in Saskatoon. The city thrives as a progressive metropolis. What enthralled me about this city is the array of activities it has to offer. Here, I came across a bustling nightlife, outdoor spaces, local eateries, and river trails. The city experiences coldest winter and hottest summer. Here are some of the activities you can be a part of when you are in this city.

  • Shop at the Farmer’s Market

Do you like prairies? Don’t forget to visit the farmer’s market. The largest and the oldest one I came across in the province. Presently, the market has extended beyond farmers. It now has made a place for crafters, artisans, and also special food makers. The market comes live on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. While I was here, I enjoyed a great lunch and wandered around the market.

  • Go for a ride on horse drawn carriage

There is nothing better than taking a ride on a horse-drawn wagon on a summer day. You will get a view of the river and the city. I took a downtown tour, starting with Bess borough Hotel and proceeding on to Saskatchewan River. However, you can avail the rides from the months of May to September.

  • Spend some time at the Wanuskewin Park

The Aboriginal heritage of the city is incredible. You can explore various cultural sites and parks. Get to know about the history of the province from these cultural sites. This park has archaeological sites that harbor pyramids from Egypt. There is proof pointing out to the settlement of the race more than 6,000 years before. I was witness to a wonderful cultural program organized by the park. You can also be a part of archaeological lectures and story time.
